Are old suacepans any good in a vegetable garden?

I have a couple of old aluminum saucepans and wonder if I can use these in my veg. garden to put plants in or any advice would be helpful.

Yes, providing you make drainage holes in the bottom, use a good compost, and feed them as directed on the packet or bottle.
yes u can if you make some drainage holes in the bottom using something like a nail and a hammer, make sure u turn it over. u can then plant it up with herbs, raddish, salads (small) or pretty annual plants. or whatever u feel like.
if they are big enough and deep enough you could use them to plant seeds in to transfer to the ground later…..cukes, tomatoes…..are good…….plus several flower seeds….read on the package about transplanting..
add pebbles or the broken pieces of a pot to the bottom of your pot fill it with soil and plant herbs in them ,the roots are not too deep and the plants will survive the tight space.
This question made me smile. When gardening is in your blood you want to plant in EVERYTHING.
Yes, you can use the old aluminum pots as planters. I would make drainage holes in the bottom with a drill bit made to drill through metal – it should go through the aluminum easily. Add some potting soil, plant it up and enjoy.
