A lot of times, bugs aren’t that big of a problem, and when they do invade it is usually just one type of bug. Start your garden, and if you notice that your plants are being eaten, then figure out what kind of insect is doing the damage, and do some research on it. There are different ways to repel every bug.
Vinegar
you can make an organic spray like this:take several cloves of garlic and crush them up and mince them up,red pepper ,and a teaspoon of dish soap and make a tea out of it and let it steep for a few days ,then strain it and put it in a spray bottle and spray you veggie plants with it!
I use tobacco juice and dish soap
A Jerry Baker hand me down
So far its cost me $10 for the last 10 years
Consider reading up on "companion planting". It’s a technique of interplanting crops so that one plant helps repel the pests that plague another plant growing close by. Also the idea of interplanting plants that attract beneficial insects that eat or kill the bothersome ones.
Just go to your library or amazon.com and search the keywords "companion planting". There are several good books available.
