i have bought a land n wanted to make a fish pond. there is no water supply over there yet so i have dug up a well so if anyone of you ppl could tell me tht the ground water is suitable for the fish and for the garden plants n the grass …

For instance, I like the name "Backyard Escapes", but it is geared towards individuals rather than businesses.

Also, a lot of the names I have thought of are already taken. So it’s going to need to be a really original name… I’ll need a website too, so I’m checking to be sure domains are available before I commit to a name.

Wanted to know if I can connect low-voltage Mailbu landscape lights connected to seperate wires in my garden that lead back to one transformer…as long as the total wattage of the lights remain at or below the rated capacity of the transformer??

I recently bought 48 "jewel box"…"Celosia cristata" plants (they look similar to multi-colored cocks combs)..I followed the planting directions, as far as spacing, etc. It stated on the pastic info spike supplied with the pants, "Easy to grow in any soil. Prefers warm, dry conditions" (although when I planted them, the soil they were in seemed rich and moist). It said they should have full sun to part shade. I have them in a large garden circle, that receives sun most of the day. Without much water(although it said that they prefer warm, dry conditions), the plants seem to wilt, and the leaves droop. If I water them…the leaves turn yellowish and the plants dont seem to flourish. I have used some plant food, in the soil, just to provide some extra food, as the circle is not very rich soil. I’m not an experienced gardener…this is my first home…l.but I REALLY want these to thrive. They looked so pretty in the nursery…can you help??

I am looking for online sources that sell seeds (retail) for domestic garden use …. either an Indian company *or* foreign seed companies that send seeds to India with certificates for customs clearance.

I am looking for both flowers and vegetables, and herbs and fruit seeds …like strawberries and raspberries…..

It would be nice also to know where to find garden supplies like pots and hoses and hand tools. I know some companies sell such things, but I am not sure which ones sell within India itself.

Do you know any such places?

My mothers front yard needs some sprucing up, but neither she nor I have a lot of money to spend. I would like to plant some flowers and/or small shrubs, nothing too fancy, just want to make it look nice. It’s an activity that my kids (6 & are willing to help with so it also can not be overly complicated. I have NOT been successful in the past with trying to have a flower bed, they look great for a little bit, but eventually just die. So any tips on what to plant, where to get the lowest price, or ways to make them live longer would be greatly appreciated! ~Thank You~

I’m re-doing my fish tank and today while I was at the pet store looking for supplies, I started wondering why I should pay them 5 dollars a pound for fancy rocks when ultimately they all come from the same place.

I have a rock garden outside my house and I was wondering if I soaked them for a few days, would it be safe to put a few of them in my fresh water tank? Or is something special done to them to make them worth so much money at the pet store?

I have unlimited supply of wood. The excess heat to be used to heat the house and swimming pool. Excess electicity to be sold to the grid.
Would the capital cost be prohibitive? The running costs are not a problem. Is there a commercial turbine on the market.
My capacity to burn is determined by the cost of one man and a J C B to load a commercial incinerator.
I would exect a large input of D I Y in this project.
