In the summer there are hundreds of them roaming round my garden. If anyone knows of a permanent deterrent I would be grateful.

We live upper michigan (zone 5). Every spring I have to physically pull out all the moss surrounding my perennials. It is extremely labor intensive. The area is naturally moist and acidic so changing these conditions is not an option. I have used powdered lime stone to make it less acidic but to no avail. If I were to leave the moss alone, would it be harmful to the perennials?

I have M.S. and would like to try my hand at growing some of my own organic produce. Due to limited mobility, I need to grow things in large patio pots. Does anyone know anything about what types of vegitables can be grown in this manner. Any good books available on the subject?

I am having disagreements with my landlord about how often he should be doing the gardens. He insist only 6-8weeks is enough. However by 4weeks the grass is over a meter high, attracting all sorts of insects, therefore the insects are coming insides the house :-S
I am ready to move out if this is not resolved. Please help if you know the answer or solution to my question

Do most of them topple over due to old age or are most of them cut down prior to nature taking its course?
If they fall from natural causes & cause injury can the owner expect to be sued for negligence?
