I never really liked them until my daughter passed away and the cards and flowers meant so much to me at the time. I got someone to take photo’s as each one was so unique to represent her likes Elton John glasses, atwo hearted cusion (from her sisters) round and round the garden her fav nursary ryhme (she was disabled so loved it still) A music note, hearts and many more ours was her name.
I did not mean to sound mormid or anything just share the wonderful flowers that meant so much.
Plants well dont ask that they do not last will me at all. lol
like them
Well….the very first thing that came to my mind was a quote from Fawlty Towers where Basil says something like "I don’t know what you’re stinking the place up with those for, what happened to the plastic ones?"
And Polly replies "They’re being ironed".
Having said that….I do prefer the real thing….and I do like them a lot. My father is quite a keen gardener….he loves his plants….I must admit, I don’t know a great deal about them!
Like wildflowers – not so sure about cut flowers but have had them and appreciated the thought.
i think flowers are lovely and ur favorite kind of flower expresses u when they are near by
they smell
They are lovely outside in the garden not in the house. I suffer from chronic hay fever so I rarely have any real ones indoors. They always remind me of DIANA and death.
I have recently written my will and have left instructions for " particularly NO LILIES. I’ve spent a lifetime sneezing ,I don’t want to spend my after life doing the same"
I love them. I love to see them in the garden, I love to be given them too.
I received 3 lovely bunches for my birthday, Now they are dried and make such a lovely display to remind me of the day.
Drying flowers instead of throwing them out is a new hobby of mine. I wished I had thought of doing it years ago.

I was never to bothered about flowers because I can’t seem to keep them alive but just recently I’ve started to buy them brought a bunch yesterday and I’ve had a bunch for 2 weeks and they still look ok so perhaps my luck has changed with them, so yes I like them and dead chuffed they seem to like me lol
Flowers say so much don’t they? They are the best present anyone could buy me because I love them and I hold on to them beyond when I should have thrown them out. That said it really is best to keep them in the garden because once they are cut they just slowly die. When my parents passed I bought the wreaths and boquets home with me because I couldn’t bear for them to just be left to die. I couldn’t imagine a life without flowers, or a garden come to that. xx
life can be a bed of roses but watch out for the odd p….k.
Plain or Self Raising….?
I prefer self raising …. for cakes anyway…
dR bad
Alway buys flours for his ladies
I love having a vase of fresh flowers around. Often buy myself a small bunch. Got quite a few when I was in hospital last week as well but I left them there for others to share. Use to like it when my kids were little as well and they’d bring me in little tatty bunches of daisies and dandelions and more often than not a few weeds. They went in jam jars not my best cut glass !!
Momof3 – That was nice of you to share your flower thoughts with us like that.
Love them Bex- Uncut-in my garden-love Jo xx
Yeah I like flowers, I like them better in the ground alive though!
