Is planting trees the solution of curbing global warming.i have asked this question because due to increase in the temprature
the artic zones will start to melt and thus the sea level shall rise and submurging land . So since the trees will bring even more rain and even erode the land left .
so is planting trees the solution to curb global warming!

In part yes. Through photosynthesis, trees and forests can be sinks (absorb and hold CO2) if they are healthy and expanding in size. If forests or trees are unhealthy, or burned, they can actually be sources of CO2.
One problem is that it would take a lot of trees. To quote wikipedia (see below). "To further reduce U.S. carbon dioxide emissions by 7%, as stipulated by the Kyoto Protocol, would require the planting of "an area the size of Texas [8% of the area of Brazil] every 30 years".
One place tree surely help is in urban areas. In urban areas, city trees improve air and water quality, sequester carbon (store carbon as they grow), reduce city temperatures and make the city more beautiful and a more desirable place to live overall.
Overall, I think the best you can say is that trees can be part of the solution.
Trees have the ability to ‘breath’ in carbon dioxide and store it in their tissues, CO2 is greenhouse gas so they effectively lock it up so it’s no longer causing harm in the atmosphere.
Planting trees alone won’t stop global warming but it’s a start.
I have no idea, but this is a fantastic question.
Thank you for caring about the earth.
The IPCC said:
1. None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed climate changes to increases in greenhouse gases.
2. No study to date had positively attributed all or part of the climate change to man-made causes.
