What plants will grow in north facing shade?

I have a north facing bed against the house, which is shaded. We live in North Wales, UK. Would like to plant it up with plants that will pretty much take care of themselves and will spread.

hostas, ferns, even some roses the hardy types…iris, and dogwood..
I love impatiens. They’ve always done really well for me in the shade in Seattle and California. You can get single flower or double flower in so many colors. They don’t like full/hot sun, they will melt.
bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, caladiums
